Local breakfast diner. Great menu, prices were reasonable. Our orders came out hot and delicious. Other customers were all locals. Not in area often, but I'll try to return. Classic diner serving good food.

White's is another diner featured in a 2013 book, "Classic Diners of Connecticut" by Garrison Leykam. Manufactured in 1957 by dining car maker, De Raffele, it has all the "bones" of diners of the past... plenty of stools and booths and stainless steel and glitz. So on another perfect day, drove the 70+ miles to the B'port train station to collect best friend, Hopalong Casualty, formerly known as Zagbolt. White's is only a couple of miles from the station. Smallish parking lot on a busy thoroughfare. We were seated at a booth by Carolina, who attended to all our culinary needs and kept coming w the coffee. I ordered a CBH omelet w grits and rye toast. HC ordered a small stack of pecan pancakes, a side order of sausage, a side order of CBH and two eggs over. I guess he wasn't that hungry. Especially since he tried to give me most of his CBH and sausages when they arrived. My omelet was a bit overcooked w not that much hash, compared to a lot of other diners. The grits, however, were outstanding. Very tasty and smooth. HC shoveled most of his food very quickly, although he did bring a lot of CBH home to his wife, "the breathtaking Maria". We agreed the CBH was from a can. Overall, service was great, prices VERY reasonable, and it brought us back in time to visit a vintage '57 diner. 4 stars

Great for breakfast. Good food, service is terrific, food comes out fast no matter how busy this place is. Parking lot can get full during breakfast in a weekend - but tables are always turning over so a few minute wait in the lot is well worth it.

The staff was friendly and the food was quick. I enjoyed everything. I loved seeing how the place had many regulars! Grits tasted so good. I like the short stack but I was not a fan of the batter. It seemed to thick for my taste. It was nice to hangout with my husband and talk for hours.

Whites diner. It was the first diner I have gone to here in Bridgeport. We came here and got a traditional American breakfast. Blueberry pancakes, bacon egg sausage, and homefries with toast and coffee. The waitress was tentative, the environment was clean, and my lady gave me some history on the ownership of this diner. I ate almost everything. I enjoyed the blueberry pancakes the most. I would love to come back and have breakfast here again.

Once again I'll say you can't beat these on premises specials. We got 2 fried eggs with home fries, toast, bacon, coffee, and small oj for $8.38. We added a small stack of blueberry pancakes as a desert. The bacon could have been crispier and the food was bland, but service is always fast and friendly here and the price is right.

Bacon egg and cheese smacks harder than a heavy-handed step father. This spot is a Port staple.

A true old style diner - not one of those new, shiny chrome-covered establishments with a 10 page menu. The home fries are good, and the patty melt was juicy. A chocolate shake more than fills a large glass. They offer a drive through window for people on the go.

Delicious! I ordered the steak, 2 eggs, Home fries and toast while my partner ordered the rueben with corned beef and French fries. Everything was great. Service was good, it was packed when we went but the service was decent. Our waitress was being pulled from different directions and still managed to be attentive.
